This house was built by a descendant of Yun Heup (1580–1633), who held the office of deputy mayor of Hanseongbu during the reign of King Injo of Joseon. The exact date of construction is unknown, but it is said to have been built in the time of Yun Heup's eldest grandson, Yun Seom. Originally a men's quarters stood opposite the main house, with a three-bay gate in front of it, but today only the main house and the servants' quarters remain. An ㄴ-shaped servants' quarters is attached to the right of the ㄷ-shaped main house, giving the whole an ㅁ-shaped, or square, floor plan. The main house has a broad wooden-floored hall at its centre, with the main room, an upper room, the kitchen and a side room arranged to either side. A signboard reading "Yeongsadang" hangs in the hall. The servants' quarters measures seven bays across the front and one bay to the side, with a hipped-and-gabled roof that forms the shape of the character for "eight" when viewed from the side. A long, narrow wooden porch runs the length of the servants' quarters, making it convenient for everyday use. Behind the house stands Yun Heup's grave, and in front of it his spirit-path stele — a stele set up near the tomb of a king or high official, inscribed with a record of his life's achievements.
