영동 박사삼 묘표 · 永同 朴事三 墓表

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is the grave marker (myopyo) of Bak Sa-sam of Anjeong; a myopyo is a stone marker set up before a grave, inscribed with the deceased's official title, name, dates of birth and death, and life achievements. Bak Sa-sam was noted for his outstanding filial devotion, and during the reign of King Hyojong he was granted the post of Chambong, a junior official, in the Saongwon, the royal kitchen agency, with the rank of Jangsarang. The grave marker of Bak Sa-sam of Anjeong stands beside a stone offering table newly placed before the grave. The stele's base and capstone are also new: the original base now lies on top of the surrounding wall, and it appears there was originally no capstone. This grave marker was erected in 1665, the sixth year of King Hyeonjong of Joseon. Its epitaph was composed by Song Si-yeol (pen name Uam, 1607–1689), transcribed by a descendant, and carved by Ssangun. The marker records Bak Sa-sam's achievements in detail and is of value as a historical source.
