Bagwonsang (朴元象) was a civil official of the late Goryeo period whose clan seat was Suncheon. He is recorded as having served as jeonseo (minister) of the Gongjo, the Board of Works, though no further details of his career survive; since he was the great-grandfather of Bak Paeng-nyeon, one of the six officials executed for their loyalty who are known as the Sayuksin, he is presumed to have lived at the end of the Goryeo period. His tomb is said to be the oldest among the tombs of the Suncheon Park clan that descendants have confirmed as belonging to a direct ancestor. It is therefore an important source for establishing the origins of the Suncheon Park clan, and at the same time a vital record for determining when the clan settled in Daejeon and the length of its residence there. The Suncheon Park clan traces its founding ancestor to Yeong-gyu, a meritorious subject who helped found Goryeo, but the generations between him and later members are not recorded and remain unclear. The clan instead takes as its founding ancestor of record Suk-jeong, who held the post of daejehak (Grand Academician) at the end of Goryeo and was Bagwonsang's father. Bagwonsang had sons named Su-saeng, Jang-saeng, An-saeng and I-saeng; among them, An-saeng and his son Jung-rim were, respectively, the grandfather and father of Bak Paeng-nyeon.
