A stupa (budo) is a structure that, symbolising the grave of a Buddhist monk, enshrines the monk's remains or relics. This stupa field lies in the fir forest along the path from Woljeongsa Temple to Sangwonsa Temple, where a total of twenty-two stupas are scattered about. These stupas, enshrining the relics of monks known by names such as Ungong Seonggwan and Geumseongdang, mostly consist of a bell-shaped body stone set on a low base, though a two-tier platform and a roof stone are occasionally found as well. None is particularly tall, standing roughly 1–2 m, and they are presumed to have been erected sometime after the mid-Joseon period.
