This yuheobi (a stele marking the site of a former shrine) — in full the 'Stele at the Site of the Portrait Hall of the Goryeo Grand Master Jangjeol, Lord Sin' — is a stone monument erected in 1832, the thirty-second year of King Sunjo, to commemorate the achievements of General Sin Sung-gyeom, who died in the Battle of Dongsu in 927, the tenth year of King Taejo. It is of considerable value for understanding the traces of the Battle of Dongsu, fought between the forces of Wang Geon (King Taejo) and Gyeon Hwon during Goryeo's process of unifying the Later Three Kingdoms.
