Gapsa Temple Jung Lion Amji Three-story Stone Pagoda
갑사중사자암지삼층석탑 · 甲寺中獅子庵址三層石塔

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis pagoda, the Gapsa Temple Jung Lion Amji Three-story Stone Pagoda, stands to the right of Gapsa Temple's Daeungjeon Hall. It originally stood at Sajaam Hermitage, a hermitage affiliated with Gapsa Temple, from where it was moved behind Daejeokjeon Hall and later relocated to its present site. The pagoda rests on a base stone carved on its sides with blind-balustrade panels, above which sits part of a stylobate, surmounted by a three-storey pagoda body. All of the stylobate has been lost except for its uppermost stone, and the corners of each body stone are carved with shallow pillar shapes. The corners of the roof stones curve slightly upward, and the underside of each is carved with three-tiered eaves supports. At the top, the original finial has been lost, and a new lotus-bud-shaped finial of a different stone has been put in its place.
