Donghaksa Temple Three-story Stone Pagoda
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

This stone pagoda stands within Donghaksa Temple; it was moved here from a hermitage called Cheongnyangsa, the site of Nammaetap, the "Siblings' Pagodas." It consists of a three-storey pagoda body set on a single-tier platform, though the third-storey body stone is now missing. The topmost stone of the platform has a sloping upper surface, like the roof stones of the pagoda body. Each body stone has a pillar shape carved at every corner, and the gently sloping roof stones have five-tiered supports carved into their undersides. This is a small pagoda, said to have been erected together with Donghaksa Temple when it was first built in 723, the 23rd year of King Seondeok of Unified Silla; however, judging by its style and workmanship, it appears instead to be a work of the Goryeo period.
