Andong Imhadongjungang Three-story Stone Pagoda
안동임하동중앙삼층석탑 · 安東臨河洞中央三層石塔

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis pagoda stands at the centre of the stone pagodas remaining in Imha-ri. It originally had three storeys, but only the roof stone of the second storey of the pagoda body now survives. The lower part of the stylobate is buried in the ground, leaving only the top stone exposed; this top stone has three tiers of supporting blocks carved into its upper surface and two tiers of base mouldings carved into its underside. The body stone bears pilaster-like corner posts carved along its edges, and the roof stone has four tiers of eaves supports on its underside. It is thought to have been built in the early Goryeo period, and the style of the stylobate's top stone suggests that the pagoda was originally a large-scale structure.
