This granite three-storey stone pagoda stands on a hill at the entrance to Dogi-dong, overlooking the old centre of Anseong. It consists of a single-tier base and a three-storey body. The Dogi-dong Three-storey Stone Pagoda is a standard-type stone pagoda 5.4 m high, with a single-tier base including a central base stone, above which rises a three-storey body square in plan. On a foundation assembled from several long rectangular stones sits a base on which only the corner pillars are carved in relief. The capstone is formed of a single slab, its underside carved with one rectangular tier of eaves moulding. Of the body stones, only the first-storey stone is made up of several pieces; all the others each consist of a single stone. Considering that the body rests on a base assembled above the foundation stone, the base can also be regarded as a double tier. This is because the stone taken to be the first-storey roof stone (a stone that covers a pagoda or stone lantern like a roof) is flat and thin, unlike the roof stones from the second storey upward, and does not show the upward curve at the corners seen elsewhere. The roof stones are flat slabs, lacking the formal beauty found in other stone pagodas, though the second-storey roof stone does show a single tier of eave steps and a drip groove. The third-storey body stone is also distinctive in being made of two pieces, unlike the stones of the other storeys. Judging from its overall style, the pagoda is presumed to have been built in the late Goryeo period, though it is also possible that it was assembled by combining members from two or more different stone pagodas.
