Yeongyang Singu-dong Three-story Stone Pagoda
영양신구동삼층석탑 · 英陽新邱洞三層石塔

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is a stone pagoda with a three-storey body set on a two-tiered foundation. The lower tier of the foundation is partly buried, so its detailed structure cannot be determined, and pilaster-like edges are carved into the corners of each storey's body stone. On the third storey, a square finial-support stone is fitted in place of a body stone, and the underside of each storey's roof stone bears four tiers of eaves supports. At the top sits a bokbal, an inverted-bowl-shaped ornament, completing the finial. A modest pagoda, it is presumed to have been built during the Unified Silla period. In 1999 it was dismantled and restored in order to preserve it properly.
