This stone pagoda stands in Geumsae Village. It was reassembled after parts of its stonework were discovered while levelling a house site. The village's name is said to derive from a temple called Geumsa, and the discovery of part of a gilt-bronze Buddha statue during the construction work supports the view that this area was once a temple site. The pagoda consists of a single body stone set on a round slab, with five roof stones stacked above it in succession. The round slab appears to serve as the pagoda's foundation (gidan), but does not seem to be original. The single surviving body stone has pillar shapes carved into its four corners. Each roof stone has three tiers of supporting brackets; notably, although the roof stone of the fifth storey also has three tiers, its lowest tier is severely worn away. Many parts are missing, so the pagoda is losing its original form, and compared with other pagodas it is smaller in scale and incomplete in appearance. The irregular style — the roof stones' support brackets sometimes made in three tiers and sometimes omitted entirely from the third storey upward — suggests that the pagoda was built during the Goryeo dynasty.
