This pagoda has a two-tiered base supporting the weight of the whole structure, topped by a three-story body. Part of the base had originally gone missing, and the body stone and roof stone of the third story had come apart and been scattered, but when the pagoda was dismantled in 1989 all the pieces were recovered and the pagoda was restored. The lower base is formed of four stones fitted together like a checkerboard, with pillar shapes carved at the corners and in the middle of each of its four sides. The upper base has four stone slabs standing on each side to form its faces, with separately carved corner pillars set at each edge; since the originals had been lost, new ones were made and fitted in. The three body stones of the tower have pillar shapes carved at their corners and diminish moderately in size toward the top, giving a slightly tall impression. The roof stones, generally thin and flat, have three-tiered supports on their undersides, and the four corner lines on their upper faces are sharply defined. The curve of the eaves is also lightly rendered, with the four corners tipped slightly upward. The omission of a carved central pillar on the upper base, together with the three-tiered roof-stone supports, suggests that the pagoda was built in the Goryeo period. What particularly draws attention is that the corner pillars of the upper base were carved and set separately, and that the pillar-shaped carving on the body stones faintly follows the entasis style; such traces of Baekje pagoda style appearing throughout the structure confirm once again that this region once lay within the old territory of Baekje.
