This building, erected in 1902, enshrines a portrait of King Gyeongsun (d. 979). Gyeongsun, the last king of Silla, peacefully handed Silla over to Goryeo and subsequently remarried Princess Nangnang, the eldest daughter of Wang Geon. When he moved to surrender the kingdom to Goryeo, his eldest son, Crown Prince Maui, opposed the decision, while his youngest son, Beomgong, shaved his head and entered Hwaeomsa Temple to become a monk. Gyeongsun himself went to Haksusa Temple on Mount Yonghwasan, where he spent the rest of his life. Afterwards, people built a shrine at Haksusa Temple in his memory, but later generations moved it to the foot of Mount Geomnam in Jungi-ri, Cheongam-myeon. The building standing today was relocated once more in 1988 because of the construction of Hadong Dam.
