This book records the rebuilding of Jeokmyeolbogung Hall, the shrine hall enshrining the Buddha's relics, at Odaesan Mountain in the late Joseon period, together with the names of the lay donors who financially supported the work and of the monks of nearby temples who also contributed. It was kept for safekeeping at Jeokmyeolbogung Hall itself, at Jungdae, the central peak of Odaesan Mountain. Each page has eight lines, with sixteen to twenty-five characters per line, the number varying irregularly, and the book consists of twenty pages in all. It contains a postscript praising the merit of donating wealth, followed by the names and written wishes of the general lay donors. Next come, in order, the names of the donating monks, beginning with those of the home temple and followed by monks of nearby temples and of Eunhaesa Temple in Gyeongsang Province, and at the end of the volume the names of each of these temples are listed by region as a record of witness. The date this book was made is thought, from the date given near its end, to be roughly the early nineteenth century. It shows the facts of the late Joseon rebuilding of Jeokmyeolbogung Hall at Odaesan Mountain and the names of the lay donors and monks of nearby temples who financed it, and allows the temple's history at that time to be examined.
