This Buddha statue, housed in the main hall of Baegunam Hermitage in Ipyeong-myeon, Jeongeup-si, Jeonbuk State, is carved from granite and stands 138 cm tall. The head is bare, and the three curved lines (samdo) carved around the neck are clearly visible. The face has been broken off and reattached, so its original appearance is difficult to make out. The pedestal and the halo behind the body were carved together with the statue, and the whole is generally well preserved. The lotus-carved pedestal, 31 cm tall, was made from a single stone, with a 4 cm-wide band marking its upper and lower edges.
