This mountain fortress was built of earth and stone on the summit of Heugeungsan Mountain, 100m above sea level, in Yecheon, Gyeongbuk, and consists of an inner and an outer wall. It is also known as Deokbongsanseong Fortress or Bongdeoksanseong Fortress. The surviving wall is 1,900m in circumference and 3–4m high, and within the inner fortress two wells and a pond remain in good condition. On the site believed to have been a storehouse for military supplies stands a simple house built for use during the farming off-season, and a Village Guardian Shrine survives at the summit. Fragments of plain earthenware and Silla earthenware have been found within the fortress, and three dolmens remain.
