This pagoda now stands in front of Gwaneumjeon Hall at Beomnyunsa Temple. Its base is formed of two flat stones, and with its single-tier platform and three-storey body it is presumed to be a stone pagoda of the mid-Goryeo period. The platform was carved from a single stone, with corner pillars cut clearly at each corner. On the platform's face stones the side corner pillars are also carved in relief, and at the centre of the capstone (a flat stone laid on top of another) are two tiers of supports for the pagoda body. The body stones and roof stones (the stone laid over a pagoda or stone lantern like a roof) are each a single piece, with only the corner pillars carved on the body stones. The centre of each roof stone's sloping surface forms a gentle incline, and the eave line runs almost perfectly straight and horizontal. The corners of the roof show a slight upward curve. The roof-stone supports number four tiers, with a drip groove and a single tier of body support set on the upper surface. The finial, which had been lost, has been replaced with newly restored stonework that differs from the original form. The low and uneven height of the roof-stone supports, the weakened curve at the corners of the roof stones, and the formulaic composition of the platform all reflect features typical of stone pagodas from the mid-Goryeo period onward. The fact that the platform's face stones were carved from a single piece of stone is particularly notable, distinguishing it from other stone pagodas of the same period.
