Cheongdo-ri Three-story Stone Pagoda
청도리삼층석탑 · 淸道里三層石塔

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis pagoda stands close to Gwisinsa Temple. It had lost much of its original form and has since been restored. It consists of a three-storey body set on a two-tier platform. The lower tier of the platform is carved with an ansang, an eye-shaped niche pattern, while the upper tier is carved with pillar shapes; pillar shapes are also carved on the body stones of the pagoda itself. The roof stones, whose four corners curve slightly upward, each have a three-tiered support carved into their underside. The body stones and roof stones have been partially damaged. Because the roof stones show the style of Baekje stone pagodas, the structure is presumed to be a Goryeo-period pagoda built in a former Baekje region. It stands in the middle of a field some distance from Gwisinsa Temple, and since the field belongs to the Na clan, the temple has difficulty managing and preserving it.
