Sudoam Hermitage was founded in 1370, the nineteenth year of King Gongmin of Goryeo, and is also known as Sudosa Temple. Murujeon Hall was built in 1517, the twelfth year of King Jungjong of Joseon, and has since been repaired and rebuilt several times, in 1617 (the ninth year of King Gwanghaegun), 1814 (the fourteenth year of King Sunjo) and again in 1910. It measures three kan across the front and one kan to the side, with a gable roof that forms the shape of the character "person" (人) when viewed from the side. Although its signboard reads "Murujeon", the hall enshrines arhat statues inside, in the manner of a Nahanjeon Hall.
