This is a sari pagoda, a reliquary stupa, standing within Yongbongsa Temple; the identity of the person whose sari, or relics, are enshrined within it has not been established. It originally stood elsewhere near the temple and was moved to its present site around 1910. The base stone has been lost, and only the platform and the body of the pagoda remain. The platform is so badly worn that the carved forms are no longer clear, and the body stone, shaped as if a round ball had been gently pressed down, bears no particular decoration. The roof stone appears to have had six sides, but each part is badly worn, and the finial that would once have crowned the top has not survived at all. The stupa has lost much of its original form, and the period of its construction is unknown.
