Eoraesanseong Fortress
어래산성 · 御來山城

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis mountain fortress is said to have been built by the Tang Chinese general Su Dingfang when he conquered Baekje, but together with the nearby Hamnasanseong and Docheongsanseong fortresses it is presumed to have actually been built during the Baekje period. It is a temoe-style earthen fortress, a type built along a ridge to enclose a hilltop, wrapping around the eastern ridge and the western slope; its walls are well preserved, and it is presumed to be connected with the nearby Iksan Ipjeom-ri Tombs. The fortress measures about 485m in circumference. The sites of its south and east gates survive, and outside the wall there is a surrounding path about 5m wide.
