This mountain fortress is a pogok-style fortress (enclosing a valley between ridgelines) spanning Daegang-myeon and Jusaeng-myeon. Travelling along the national road between Namwon and Sunchang, the fortress's northern wall begins at a point about 500 m south, in a straight line, from the top of Bihong-chi Pass. The walls were built using moderately dressed stones to form even inner and outer faces, with the space between filled with broken rubble, using the naetak technique of banking earth behind the wall face; in places the remaining wall stands about 6 m high, and the surviving wall is generally about 4.7 m wide at the top. According to the Gojeok Josa (Survey of Historic Remains), the fortress's circumference is known to be about 900 m. Sites presumed to be a watchtower and other buildings can be seen, along with pottery and roof-tile fragments believed to date from the Three Kingdoms period.
