This mountain fortress encircles in stone a ridge running south from Cheondungsan Mountain, with a circumference of about 493 m. It was built in a pogok-sik layout, a style that follows a valley, forming a ㄷ-shape (C-shape) along the western valley. On the east wall, which forms a sheer cliff, only the outer face was built along the ridge, while elsewhere the wall was constructed using hyeopchuk technique, with both inner and outer faces; the south wall stands about 2.2 m high on the inner face, 4 m high on the outer face, and about 4.3 m thick. A corner tower platform projects from the south-eastern corner of the wall, and the site of a water outlet has been identified on the west side. The Dongguk yeoji seungnam, in its entry on the ancient sites of Gosan, and the Munheon bigo, in its Gosan section, record the fortress as 1,014 cheok in circumference and built during the Baekje period. Inside the fortress lies the site of a building, where Baekje-period roof tiles bearing a mat pattern and pottery fragments have been collected.
