This seven-story stone pagoda in granite was erected in 1930 in front of Daeungjeon Hall by Zen Master Man'gong, then the head monk of Sudeoksa Temple. The outer face of the base-level slabs has prominent corner pillars carved into it, and the slabs are bordered by a square frame about 10 cm thick. On the base, four square-cut stone blocks stand like plinth stones in place of a body stone, supporting the roof stone of the first story. A distinctive feature of this pagoda is that it has no separate base section: the pagoda body and roof stones are set directly in place, and the eaves of the roof stones curve upward. The seven-story pagoda has since been relocated and is now kept and maintained beside Hwangharu Pavilion.
