This is a Baekje-period stone chamber tomb built at the southern end of the ridge of Jamisan Mountain, located north of Heungdeok-ri. The tomb is a double-chamber tomb in which two stone chambers were built side by side, separated by a single wall; both chambers are equipped with an entrance passage (yeondo) and a drainage system. Artefacts were excavated only from the eastern chamber, comprising one piece of earthenware, one silver cap ornament, and coffin nails; the coffin nails show that the body had been placed in a wooden coffin. Judging from the structure of the stone chambers and the excavated artefacts, the tomb is presumed to date from the latter half of the sixth century. A single stone chamber tomb is generally built so that its own structure allows joint burial through later additional interments, but the Heungdeok-ri tomb is a very unusual case in which joint burial was instead achieved by placing two chambers side by side.
