This pagoda remains, together with a stone Buddha, on the former site of Yeondongsa Temple, with a three-story body raised on a single-tier foundation. Corner pillars are carved at the four corners of the foundation and on the body stones of the pagoda. The roof stones form a gently curving upper surface, their four corner lines clearly expressed like the roofline of a wooden building, and on the underside of each roof stone a separate stone has been inserted in place of the usual stepped eaves-supports. At the top, an angwa (an ornament shaped like a blooming lotus) sits above the noban (the plate supporting the finial), forming the finial. Having collapsed with its members scattered, the pagoda was newly restored in 1996. Like the Damyang-eup Five-story Stone Pagoda (Treasure No. 506) and the Gokseong Gagok-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda (Treasure No. 1322), it carries on the Baekje-style pagoda tradition, and is presumed to have been built in the late Goryeo period.
