Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is an old house that has long been home to the Pyeongsan Sin clan. The name Mangoeheon comes from the pen name of Sin Jae-su, the sixth-generation ancestor of the present owner. The building originally belonged to the Yaseong Jeong clan. It was purchased in 1815, the fifteenth year of King Sunjo, by Lee Su-min, and later bought again in 1843, the ninth year of King Heonjong, by Sin Jae-su. The present building was extended and rebuilt by Sin Ui-yeong, the great-great-grandfather of the current owner.
