This shrine enshrines the spirit tablets of three brothers of the Nam clan of Yeongyang: Nam Tae-baek (1559–1601), Nam Tae-hwa (1565–1591) and Nam Tae-byeol (1568–1635). The eldest, Nam Tae-baek, held the office of jinsa, a successful candidate in the lower level of the state civil service examination, while the youngest, Nam Tae-byeol, served as a righteous-army volunteer during the Japanese invasions of 1592–98. This building was erected in 1826, the 26th year of King Sunjo. Its roof, seen from the side, resembles the shape of the Chinese character 人 (person), a form known as a matbae, or gable, roof. Directly in front of the building stands Gongsanjeongsa, a lecture hall. Ancestral rites are held here every spring and autumn.
