Samhanbyeokgongdodaejang Group Mok Statue
삼한벽공도대장군 목상 · 三韓壁控都大將軍 木像

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is a wooden statue carved in the likeness of Bak Uk, who has long been worshipped by the Milseong Bak clan as the tutelary deity of Miryang. Bak Uk was a son of Milseong-daegun Bak Eon-chim and the 31st-generation descendant of Bak Hyeokgeose Geoseogan. The statue wears a blue official robe fitted with a hyungbae, an embroidered rank badge, decorated with cloud patterns on a red ground. Around its waist is a red sash patterned with crossing comb-tooth motifs, and the figure is shown seated in a chair, gripping a long sword firmly with both hands in the manner of a military official. The statue was originally enshrined at Chuhwasa Shrine on Chuhwasan Mountain. In 1937 it was moved to the Milseong Bak clan's ancestral ritual house, built south of Abuksan Mountain in Naeil-dong, Miryang, and the new shrine is said to have later been renamed Ikseongsa.
