Ichungmugong Memorial Stele
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

This stele was erected to hand down to later generations the achievements of Admiral Yi Sun-sin (1545–1598), posthumously titled Chungmugong. Housed within a stele pavilion, it consists of an inscribed stone body set on a turtle-shaped base. The inscription records how Admiral Yi fought the Japanese invaders at the cost of his own life to save the nation during the Imjin War. It is a meaningful stele, erected in 1951 by the Committee for the Commemorative Project for Yi Chungmugong with donations collected from the public.
