The Yongun tumuli of Yongil-ri lie on a hillside south of the road leading into Yongun village, where a ridge running east from Seongmasan Mountain (84m above sea level) forms a hillock at 43.3m before descending again and continuing north-northwest. Two tumuli sit along the ridgeline, about 55m apart on a northwest–southeast axis. Although the edges of the mounds have been considerably cut away as the surrounding land was reclaimed for farming, the shape and scale of the tombs can still be made out. Local residents call the site Malmoedeung. Tomb No. 1 lies on the upper part of the ridge. The edge of its mound has been considerably cut away by the surrounding fields, and the northeastern side in particular has been deeply cut into where a field embankment was built. The mound is circular in plan, 19m in diameter and 2.5m high, with a flat area 12m across at the top. Since the original ground surface appears to have been considerably lowered during land reclamation, the mound is thought to have originally been larger than its present scale. Tomb No. 2 lies lower down the ridge. The upper side of its mound has been cut away by farmland reclamation, while the lower side has been considerably altered by two commoners' graves and the sloping earthen banks (saseong) built to enclose them. Its northeastern side has also been cut away by a field embankment. The mound is circular in plan, 18m in diameter and 3m high, with a flat area about 7m across at its summit.
