This three-storey stone pagoda once stood at Borimsa Temple. The temple burned down during the Japanese invasions of 1592–1598, after which only the pagoda remained, left neglected and damaged on the empty site. It was moved to Yeongsan Elementary School in 1915, and when the school relocated to its present site in 1927 the pagoda was moved there with it. It consists of a stone base topped by the body stone of the first storey and three roof stones; the body stones of the second and third storeys have been lost. It follows the typical stone pagoda style of Unified Silla, and the quality of its stonework suggests it was built in the late Unified Silla period.
