The stone pagoda of Sudosa Temple is built of granite and stands about 2.5 metres tall. The platform (gidan) was repaired in a later period using natural stones and concrete to form a foundation stone, on top of which four stones of the lower platform, carved with ansang (arch-shaped floral niches), were placed. The upper platform consists of a single stone carved with corner pillars and a central support pillar, but the capstone that would have sat above it is missing. The pagoda body is made of single stones; the first- and third-storey bodies have no corner pillars, but the second-storey body does. The roof stones of the first, second, third and fourth storeys all lack the stepped eave-supports usual on such pagodas, and the upward curve of the eaves and corners is pronounced. The base and jewel finial of the finial assembly are carved from a single stone, and the jewel finial is carved in the shape of a lotus bud. The stone pagoda of Sudosa Temple has been reassembled from stones of differing periods for reasons that are unclear today. The lower platform stone, the upper platform stone and the second-storey pagoda body appear to belong to the same period, while the roof stones and the first- and third-storey pagoda bodies above them appear to be of a different style. The former group is thought to date from the end of Unified Silla to the Goryeo period, while the first- and third-storey bodies and the roof stones are presumed to have been made from the late Goryeo period into the Joseon period. On the hillside to the east of Sudosa Temple, meanwhile, stand ten stupas enshrining the remains of monks.
