This is a bell from the Joseon period, 111 cm in height and 84 cm in mouth diameter. It was cast in 1783, the seventh year of King Jeongjo, and has no eumtong, the sound tube that helps a bell's resonance; the hanging loop is formed of two dragons. Four yugwak — raised panels decorated with nipple-shaped bosses — are arranged independently around the middle of the body, and bodhisattva figures are carved in the empty spaces between them. The carving technique of the decoration is crude and the surface rather rough, but the bell is important material for the study of Joseon-period bronze bells.
