This building was constructed on the proposal of the Yecheon Yang clan. It was built in 1810, the tenth year of King Sunjo, as Geumsu Seodang, a village school, and after its name changed to Geumsu Seosuk, its function was changed in 1928 to a place for guarding the grave of, and holding memorial rites for, Im Eok-suk (1546–1605), the founding ancestor of the Im clan of this village. According to a record written on the main beam, the building was newly renovated in 1849, the fifteenth year of King Heonjong, and it retains well the characteristics of a 19th-century village school building. The building on the left, where the caretaker lived, has a ㄷ-shaped (U-shaped) floor plan that is rare in the Andong region. Memorial rites are held here every year on the third day of the tenth month by the lunar calendar.
