A yoji is a kiln site where porcelain, roof tiles and other vessels were made and fired. This kiln site lies on a hillside about 300 metres from Daepyeong-ri, Unsu-myeon, and is thought to date from the late 14th to early 15th century. Local residents have long called the area Dojanggol, Gamagol or Sagigol, meaning roughly "potter's valley", "kiln valley" and "porcelain valley". The discarded buncheong ware fragments found here include bowls, jars, dishes and jangun (barrel-shaped vessels), decorated mainly with brush-stroke (gwiyal), stamped (inhwa) and inlaid wave-line (sanggam daeseon) patterns. Small quantities of Joseon white porcelain and Joseon celadon fragments are also scattered about the site.
