Yubongyeongdang Hall is a portrait shrine (yeongdang) enshrining the portrait of the Joseon-period scholar Yun Jeung. After Yun Jeung's death, the students he had taught built the shrine and the adjoining Gyeongseungjae hall in 1744, the twentieth year of King Yeongjo, and enshrined his portrait there. The buildings have since been repaired on several occasions; most recently his descendants repaired both Gyeongseungjae and the shrine, after which the surrounding grounds were tidied in three separate stages. Gyeongseungjae is three bays wide and two bays deep, with a hip-and-gable roof built in the ikgong bracket style and a raised wooden-floored pavilion (numaru). The shrine stands to the northeast of Gyeongseungjae and is likewise three bays wide and two bays deep with a hip-and-gable roof. The portrait is enshrined in a canopied niche at its centre. Memorial rites are held every year on the fifteenth day of the third and ninth lunar months.
