This shrine enshrines the ancestral tablets of Bak Jung-yeong, Bak Hun and Bak Sa-hyeon. It was built in 1962 by local Confucian scholars and the family's descendants to honour the loyalty and achievements of these three men. Bak Jung-yeong served as a civil official under King Yejong and King Seongjong of Joseon and made great contributions to the reorganisation of the state's institutions and culture in the early Joseon period. His son, Bak Hun, held posts including Assistant Section Chief of the Ministry of Works and Censor under Yeonsangun and King Jungjong, and rose to Third Royal Secretary, but was persecuted in the Gimyo Sahwa, the literati purge of 1519, and lived in exile in places such as Seongju and Uiju. His grandson, Bak Sa-hyeon, was a loyal subject who distinguished himself defending Cheongju Fortress during the Japanese invasions of 1592–98 and died in battle. Memorial rites are held every spring.
