This shrine enshrines the spirit tablet of Kim Jip (1574–1656). Kim Jip was a Confucian scholar of the mid-Joseon period whose pen name was Sindokjae. Although offered many official posts, he did not take them up, choosing instead to take pleasure in the Way amid nature and devote himself to scholarship. His writings include the Sindokjae Munjip and the Uirye Munhaesok. Built in 1629, the seventh year of King Injo of Joseon, the shrine is three bays wide and two bays deep, with a gabled (matbae) roof that, seen from the side, resembles the shape of the character for 'person'. Inside, the floor is laid with wooden boards, and a raised platform for enshrining the spirit tablet is set against the wall.
