This is a collapsed stone pagoda at the site of Jureuksa Temple; many of its components are missing or buried underground, so the pagoda's original overall scale cannot be determined. From the components exposed above ground, it is presumed that the pagoda body was placed on a two-tier platform (gidan), on which pillar-shaped carvings can be seen. The roof stones have a gently sloping drip line, with the four corners slightly upturned, and five tiers of supports on the underside. Judging from the size of the surviving components, the pagoda is thought to have been of grand, large scale, comparable to the Seokgatap Pagoda at Bulguksa Temple. Based on its overall style, it is presumed to have been built around the eighth to ninth centuries, the heyday of stone pagoda construction in the Unified Silla period.
