The collection consists of 60 hogudanja (household registration certificates), 5 junhogu (certified household register copies), one set of joined documents comprising an iphuseongmun (a document establishing an adopted heir) and a soji (a petition), 3 gongmyeongcheop (blank-name honorary appointment certificates), 13 gyoji (royal appointment documents), and 2 jeonryeong (official directives). Most of the material dates from the 18th to the 19th century. Among these, the joining together of the iphuseongmun drawn up by the party establishing an adopted son with the soji in which several people request approval for this is a rare example. There is also a document conferring an official post under the title "jeonryeong," which is likewise unusual: normally, appointments for officials of the fourth rank and above took the form of a gyoji, those of the sixth rank and above a gyocheop, and those of the seventh rank and below a chacheop, so it appears that the military authorities sometimes issued chacheop in the form of a jeonryeong. There are also as many as three gongmyeongcheop, documents rarely found in the possession of ordinary families. The remaining gyoji and hogudanja/junhogu are the kind of documents commonly held by many families, but because there are many of them and they span the 18th and 19th centuries, they are of value as cultural heritage.
