Gyeongdeokdan is a memorial altar stele erected in 1927 by the descendant Park Hae-cheol, a court reader (sidok), who gathered the consensus of his clan to commemorate three generations of ancestors whose grave sites had become untraceable after too many generations had passed. The three ancestors honoured are Park Eon-chim, known as the Grand Prince of Miryang (Miryang-daegun), the eldest of the eight sons of King Gyeongmyeong, the 55th king of Silla, who renounced his claim to the royal succession and was instead invested as Lord of Miryang; Park Uk, who held the senior title Samjungdaegwang Samhanbyeokgong Dojanggun (combining a high honorary grand-councillor rank with a supreme military command) and rendered great service helping King Taejo Wang Geon found Goryeo at the end of Silla; and Park Ran, a meritorious subject of Goryeo's founding who served as Dokposa, military commissioner, of Yodong.
