No Champandaek Old House, Hamyang
함양 노참판댁 고가

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe main house (anchae) of No Champandaek Old House is the oldest building in the village. Although the construction date recorded in the ridge-beam inscription (sangnyangmun) is too old to be confirmed, there is no disagreement among the villagers that it is the oldest building in the village. In the past, there was a storehouse to either side of the front yard of the anchae, as well as a three-bay house built of eulalia (silver grass) thatch, and there were several houses outside the main gate where servants lived; all of these have since been demolished. Today the complex consists of the gate quarters (daemungan-chae), the men's quarters (sarangchae), the main house (anchae), and a shrine.
