This statue is a stone image whose surviving height exceeds 120 cm, and considering that the head would originally have added further height, it ranks among the larger stone Buddhist statues. It is carved as a seated figure facing directly forward, while the back is roughly shaped into a rounded, cylindrical form without further carving. The upper body is bare; although the shoulders are relatively broad, the arms and chest look thick in proportion to the body, giving an overall impression of heaviness. A celestial scarf draped like a shawl flows down over both shoulders, winds once around the wrists and falls further down, while the skirt-like garment, pulled up to below the chest, is gathered and tied with a sash. On the chest is a raised-relief necklace ornament in the form of a somewhat broad band, incised at regular intervals to form rectangular sections, with a flower-shaped pendant below. The hands are large and carved with volume, allowing their original form to be inferred: the right hand, with the middle finger and thumb bent, rests at the chest, and the left hand rests before the abdomen, but both hands are rendered with the backs of the hands facing outward. Raised-relief ornaments are worn on the wrists and upper arms, arranged in three tiers and bordered on both edges with a beaded pattern. The lower body is so badly worn that almost no trace of carved detail remains, and although faint traces of upward-facing lotus petals survive on the pedestal, their specific form is difficult to make out.
