Yeonghaeipcheonjeong Pavilion
영해입천정 · 寧海卄川亭

Yeonghaeipcheonjeong Pavilion is a wooden building standing on the hillside of the village. Below and to its left stands Magyejeongsa, a jeongsa (private study hall), and further down at the foot of the slope is the gojiksa (caretaker's quarters). The exact date of its original construction is unknown, but it is said to have been rebuilt in its original form in 1888, the 25th year of Emperor Gojong's reign. Ipcheonjeong is four bays wide and two bays deep, with a hip-and-gable roof (paljak roof) that, seen from the side, forms a shape like the Chinese character for eight (八). In plan, it has a toegan (projecting eaves bay) at the front. Magyejeongsa is three bays wide and two bays deep, with the same hip-and-gable roof as Ipcheonjeong. The gojiksa is four bays wide and one bay deep, its roof built in the gable form (matbae roof), which from the side resembles the character for person (人). Although not an old building, Yeonghaeipcheonjeong clearly reflects the architectural style of the late 19th century.
