Baekpaisangyeongdang is a shrine hall that enshrines the portrait of Baekpa Dojeonggong Yi Sang, a grandson of Prince Ikan Yi Bang-ui, and holds rites in his memory. Yi Sang's son, Yi Hyeon-dong, retired to Joryeong-ri in Beolgok-myeon, Nonsan, when King Sejo ascended the throne, and it is said that his descendants later built this shrine hall, though the exact date of construction is unknown. Yi Hyeon-dong was a disciple of Kim Suk-ja and kept close company with Jeompiljae Kim Jong-jik; when King Sejo usurped the throne, he withdrew into seclusion at Joryeong in Yeonsan-myeon and for the rest of his life refused to sit facing north, warning his descendants never to take government office. He was enshrined at Chunggok Seowon in Chunggok-ri, Bujeok-myeon, and a memorial stele (sindobi) for him stands at Johyeong-ri. The hall's pillars are round, and its bracket work follows the two-tier ikgong style. The front eaves bay is set throughout on a stone platform (gidan); the central bay has four gabled doors, while each side bay has a single door. The architectural style of the Joseon period is well preserved, remaining relatively close to its original form. To the east of the shrine hall stands Seungmujae, the jaesil (memorial hall) of Yi Hyeon-dong, presumed to have been built in the 1730s, though no exact record survives.
