This genealogy is believed to have been compiled by adding content to a base text edited by Ha Jeung, and it is the oldest genealogical record currently held at the Danji head house. Descendants through daughters are recorded down to the third generation. A notable feature is that, for later generations, only brief entries are given for figures in important lineages or particular individuals, while the names alone are recorded for the rest. The original first edition of the Jinyang Ha clan genealogy is said to have been compiled under the leadership of Changju Ha Jeung in 1621, but it has not survived; in 1719 Ha Hyeong reprinted it as the Gihae-bo edition, and this was followed by the Gyeongin-bo in 1770, the Gyeongjin-bo in 1820 and the Musul-bo in 1898. Although this manuscript genealogy is not the one Ha Jeung compiled in 1621, it is the closest surviving version to it, and it provides important clues for the study of family and kinship systems of the time.
