KOGL Type 4Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

In this house the main hall (anchae) is set toward the inner part of a plot close to square, with the lower quarters (araechae) placed below and to its left, and the storehouse (gotganchae) placed above and to its left. The main hall is a jeontoe-style house with a front eaves extension, seven bays wide and two and a half bays deep; the lower quarters is a straight, one-row building four bays wide and two bays deep; and the storehouse, no smaller in scale than the lower quarters, is built with earthen walls. Built in 1924, the house shows the expansion of the side bays characteristic of late Joseon architecture, and it also has a double-roof (gyeopjibung) form, giving it scholarly value.
