This seowon (Confucian academy) was built to enshrine the spirit tablet of Heo Jo, posthumously honoured as Mungyeong-gong. Passing through the outer three-kan gate bearing the plaque "Jundomun", one faces directly the lecture hall, Sugyodang; to the left of the courtyard stands Seonggyeongjae, a four-kan gabled tile-roofed building laid with flat roof tiles. On the sloping ground to the right of the courtyard, facing Seonggyeongjae, stands the shrine. The shrine is enclosed by a square wall of earth and stone forming a separate precinct, and at the front of this wall stands the inner gate, a plain three-kan gate.
