Three-story Stone Pagoda of Yeongguam Hermitage, Gimhae

Somewhat small in scale, this pagoda has lost its base stone and the facing stones and body stone of its platform, but the surviving stone elements were dressed with a dodeuk-dadeumi finish (a bush-hammered stonework technique), and the mica and feldspar in the stone show the natural wear of the period in which it was built. In particular, the noban (the square base beneath the finial) and the bokbal (the inverted-bowl-shaped finial element) survive intact and in good condition, making this pagoda valuable material for studying stone pagodas built at the end of the Goryeo dynasty.
